BiboBibo
Originally thought for bars and restaurants, Bibo is a coffee set designed to contain not only sugar packets, but also paper napkins and possibly a menu. Two polished steel round elements held together by a small melamine tray with a handle, whose asymmetry is a practical choice to balance the whole set.
Derivation of this is a small home or office coffee set, where napkins give room to a small container for chocolates or biscuits and where the sugar bowl, now full of bulky sugar, has a melamine lid.

About

Valerio Sommella is an Italian Industrial designer, born in Tuscany in 1980. After graduating with Honors at the Politecnico of Milan he spent years working for important design practice between Milan and Amsterdam before he founded Valerio Sommella Design Studio in 2009. He works with a wide range of companies, focusing on everyday objects, furniture, lighting and accessories, with the same attention for small scale production as well as mass market.

He considers every project as an opportunity to challenge his idea of design, a constant dialogue between context, users, materials, technologies and beauty. The resulting objects are not chapters of the same book, but short stories, each one with its own plot, characters and finale.

Over the years his Studio developed projects for companies such as Alessi, Alcantara, Moooi, Kundalini, Calligaris, Honda, Falmec, Konica minolta, Modo, Panasonic, and many others.
